I just got that off the Wood Data Base Ed. I know nothing about it but I would hope it's not worse than Wenge. :o

This is always my go-to source for information on wood.

The site didn't list it under Parota, but had an entry for guanacaste which directs you to the entry for kelobra. If you look at the data sheet, it shows that one of the common names (a LOT of common names for this one!!) for this species is indeed parota. Other than the open pores, looks like it might be an interesting wood for lutherie.
