Someone brought one in, bridge 3/4 detached and a bit cupped (it was left in the loft for a few years)
Looks like the bridge was glued to the finish, which is still sound (so far as I can see under the bridge - 1980's, polyester I believe)
May need a new bridge.
Guesses as to the glue they used?
I would guess epoxy (possibly CA - did it exist then?)

The name catgut is confusing. There are two explanations for the mix up.

Catgut is an abbreviation of the word cattle gut. Gut strings are made from sheep or goat intestines, in the past even from horse, mule or donkey intestines.

Otherwise it could be from the word kitgut or kitstring. Kit meant fiddle, not kitten.

Can't tell you what glue was used but can tell you that CA dates back to WWII.
