I am trying something new here at the OLF to celebrate our community and the Holidays.

To me it matters not what you celebrate during this time of the year.
We are a global community, so understand that this is all inclusive for all our community!

For the next 12 days I will be giving away a random gift to a random winner.

For today's gift all you have to do is post IN THIS THREAD one thing you would like to
see at the OLF. Only one. :-)

AND if you have a facebook and Twitter account, you need to share this thread.
Twitter button is found above your profile pic, the Facebook SHARE is found at the bottom of your post.

The winner will be drawn randomly, all gifts will be shipped out AFTER the holidays.

Today's gift is a 2 DVDs from Kent Everett!

Don't be shy! Speak up! Lets hear what good our community has been part of!

I'd like to see a "view new posts" link at the bottom of the page so I don't have to scroll up through long threads. . .

First world problems. . .

I think a photo gallery type feature would be pretty cool. It's always great to see everyone's pictures, but sometimes remembering what thread something was in is tough. It's probably not possible but a page that compiles all the uploaded photos without all the text would be great. Who knows if it could happen but we can dare to think big. :D

I'd love to be able to post polls so we can ask questions and get both qualitative as well as quantitative responses

Be nice to accept other file types other than jpg. Was going to try to post a list of tools once but it wouldn't allow it.

I'd like for it to be as easy to post a picture as it is on Tapatalk. No having to use a third party website to host the image.

I would like all photos to be automatically resized to fit the posting requirements.

What Brad said on the resizing,
But how about a pay it forward section? I have been the recipient of this and don't mind giving when able.

Maybe an organization in the archives outlining the different processes in building like building the neck/ building the body/ fretting/ finishing , etc and subtitling each with articles about each process. I've used this forum as my "book" for a few years now and I'm on No. 8, acoustic steel string. I still haven't bought a real book, but maybe the OLF will compile one through its articles one day.

Mike just beat me to it! Was thinking along the same lines of making it easier to find a process/jig making/etc. in archives. I find it rather time consuming when searching for one or more of these topics now--think it would cut down on folks asking about threads they remember reading, but having trouble locating.

I really like the idea of podcasts--have enjoyed listening to those by Fretboard Journal. I would find one focused on builder challenges which we overcame (setting up shops, time management for processes, wood acquisition/storage solutions, humidity/lighting) to be interesting. How to market our creations effectively would REALLY be a winner with me!

I would like to see a "free trial" of the paid section. It could be even in a way that until you pay you can't participate or buy anything but it would be nice to take a look to see what is available before paying for access.

I was just musing about a way to direct a question or suggestion to a supplier. Maybe a forum just for that purpose because I suspect it's impractical for sponsors and other vendors to watch all the posts in multiple forums to spot an occasional question they could answer better than anyone or a suggestion they could act upon.

While I am almost always signed in anyways, I do miss the days of being able to seeing images in threads without signing in.

Some great suggestions above. A gallery section organized by name or username would be cool.

I'd like to see a tool review sub heading. This is such a great wealth of knowledge of power and had tools here. I always like reading peoples thoughts on the matter.
