I hope it's ok to post this but I was wondering if anyone here knew of any shops on Long Island that might be willing to sell me access to a thickness sander to sand a euro maple back and side set. Normally I'd have no problem thicknessing this by hand but due to a recent shoulder injury I don't think I have the endurance to spend a few hours planing.

I would check with local cabinet shops, they likely have a wide-belt sander and many will rent you a bit of time if you ask nice.
