This came to the house randomly yesterday. I did get a small hand router from them a couple years ago.
What could I need tools for?
Reminds me of the old Garrett Wade catalogue I would get YEARS ago.

Stuff you didn't even know you needed!

I always like looking through their catalogs, sometimes I find something I didn’t know needed.

Ken, I get that one and a couple of others as well.

I try not to look through them because it makes me want to spend money I don't really need to...

I think I am pretty well set up with most of the tools I need so those mag's only make me want something shiny and new. gaah

Cheers,
Bob

I think I own 90% of their hand woodworking tools. Some are in perfect, unused condition! :)

Me too but don't usually notice the never used tools unless I move gallons of experimental finish products.

I made a list of a few small things for my wife. The little set of plastic shims to stop vise racking? I'd never get around to making it. But fancy spokeshaves? I put a cheap one on my list last year. Tried to fix it like Ken Parker, brazing a plate at the mouth. i don't have the torch for it. The other day I put shims under the blade, and it works really good. The back, belly needs to be held good somehow so you can use both hands.
Workholding may be the thing the next year. I did work for ITW Workholding for about a dozen years in the last century.
